Edible beeswax is a natural and versatile material that possesses the extraordinary ability to be waterproof whilst remaining breathable. This characteristic allows food to ‘breathe’, keeping its organoleptic properties intact. Used to wrap and preserve foods such as cheese, meat or fruit, beeswax ensures optimal preservation, prolonging the product’s freshness. In the specific case of meat maturation, the use of beeswax creates a natural wrapping that allows the product to continue its maturation process in a controlled manner. This method enables the development of intense flavours and unique aromas that are difficult to achieve with other preservation techniques. Thanks to its protective properties, food-grade beeswax keeps the meat safe from external contamination, enhancing the final result in terms of quality and taste.

Our Cera is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminium tin, with a green bioplastic bag made from sugar cane, 100% plastic-free.

HOW TO USE

Maturing and preserving food
To ensure proper protection, make sure the product is evenly coated with a thin layer of wax.
Ideal for maturing fish and meat, and for the natural preservation of cured meats and cheeses. Beeswax forms a protective layer that helps keep food fresh for longer, whilst enhancing the development of unique flavours.

Variable quantity: apply the beeswax according to the size of the item to be coated.
