Silica gel is the most widely used desiccant in the food industry. Due to its very high absorption capacity, it is the ideal solution for food use because it keeps food free of moisture safely, conveniently and cleanly. Our orange gel capsules allow for visual, accurate and intuitive control of the desiccant’s saturation level; in fact, they will discolor completely as they become saturated, thus losing effectiveness.

Our Silicio is sold in capsules contained in a recycled and recyclable aluminum can, with a green bio-plastic bag made from sugarcane, 100% plastic free.

Preserve is a special line of products used to preserve or ripen food.

Ingredients

Orange-coloured silica gel (2.64 g/u).

The product is free of chemicals, additives or preservatives, making it a pure and safe product for food use.

Warnings

The colour of the product indicates its state: when the capsules change colour and turn white, it means they are saturated with moisture and cease to be effective. The product is safe for food use and has no contraindications. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat sources.

Use

Dehumidifier
Place the capsules together with the food you want to keep free of moisture, inside containers. Prepare a layer at the base with the tablets and then place the food on top.
