Natural sourdough starter powder derived from sourdough. When added to dough, it imparts the classic tang, aromas and crispness typically associated with dough made using natural sourdough starter. It requires fairly long proving times (24 to 36 hours), but if you need to speed up the process, we recommend using it in combination with brewer’s yeast or a starter dough. The dough must be refreshed at least every two days, up to a maximum of twice a day.
Our Sourdough starter is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminium tin, with a green bioplastic bag made from sugar cane, 100% plastic-free.
Proofing
Add to the mixture; proving times are quite long (24–36 hours). Add brewer’s yeast or a starter to speed up the process.
Recommended dose: 30 g per Kg of flour.
