Silica gel is the most widely used desiccant in the food industry. Thanks to its extremely high absorption capacity, it is the ideal solution for food use as it keeps food free from moisture in a safe, practical and clean way. Our orange gel capsules allow for accurate and intuitive visual monitoring of the desiccant’s saturation level; indeed, they will lose their colour completely as they become saturated, thereby losing their effectiveness.
Our Silicio is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminium tin, with a green bioplastic bag made from sugar cane, 100% plastic-free.
Moisture absorber
Place the capsules inside containers alongside the food you wish to keep free from moisture. Create a layer of the tablets at the bottom and then place the food on top.
