Mannitol is an odorless crystalline polyol obtained from fructose, sugars from algae and fungi that can also be synthesized by fermentation by microorganisms. Its sweetening power is about half that of sucrose and it is also less caloric; it possesses very low hygroscopicity, tending to absorb very little water and moisture, and for this reason it is capable of reaching temperatures even above 400°C without burning. It is used as a crystallization agent in a wide variety of preparations; for example, it imparts solid, crystalline coatings to fruits that look iced or frosted.
Our Mannitolo is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminum can, with a green bio-plastic bag made from sugarcane, 100% plastic free.

Coating
Melt over medium heat until completely melted. Carefully coat the product to be crystallised.
