Citric acid is a natural, colourless, water-soluble pH adjuster. As it is a relatively mild acid, it is widely used in all those preparations that require a reduction in pH (such as jams and preserves) to extend their shelf life. It also imparts a tart flavour to food and drink.
Our Citric Acid is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminium tin, with a green bioplastic bag made from sugar cane, which is 100% plastic-free.
