Cricket Flour is composed of 100% crickets, from the Acheta domesticus family, dried and ground into a high-protein powder. Crickets have an extraordinary protein value of 69%. Unlike vegetable proteins, they are high-quality complete proteins containing all essential amino acids; they are also a rich source of fibre and minerals such as Calcium and Iron (more than twice as much iron as spinach), Vitamin B12 and Omega-3 fatty acids. Cricket meal is environmentally sustainable: just think that 1.7 kg of feed is needed to produce one kilo of crickets, while it takes as much as ten kilograms to produce one kilo of beef. It is an ingredient designed to be part of the general composition of many foods: with a slight hazelnut-like aroma, it mixes well with all baked goods, both sweet and savoury. It can be added to smoothies and mixes to increase their protein value or added to creams and sauces to intensify their flavour.
Our cricket flour is sold in a recycled and recyclable aluminium tin, with a green bio-plastic bag made from sugar cane, 100% plastic free.

Supplement
It is added to any flour as a protein supplement. Ideal, thanks to its reminiscent hazelnut aroma, for all baked goods, both sweet and savoury. Alternatively, it can also be added to creams and sauces to intensify the aroma.
Recommended dosage: 10 g per 1 kg flour.
